Welcome to Abingdon House Prep School, South Kensington
Situated in a Victorian mews terrace, our well equipped school environment is a delight for drop-off, pick-up, and throughout a full day of learning.
We teach a holistic mainstream style Prep School curriculum where everything is underpinned by the core subjects of English and Maths. Our timetable includes all common subjects such as science, humanities, creative arts, PE, food technology as well as therapeutically focussed lessons of life and social skills. Our multidisciplinary team provides our students with all of the knowledge, skills and abilities to thrive in their individualised meaningful next step.
We pride ourselves on offering three distinct pathways for children beyond the Prep:
- one pathway will be to prepare pupils for a return into mainstream schooling,
- the second is to help students progress into other specialist schools such as those within the Cavendish family of schools to undertake a full GCSE programme and/or further qualifications,
- the third pathway will be to progress on to Abingdon’s Senior School in Marylebone, with a view to students working towards a full range of qualifications including Maths/English GCSEs, Functional Skills, BTECs and ASDAN to then progress onto further education, apprenticeships and/or directly into work.
