Uniform South Kensington

Students are expected to wear school uniform every day they are in school. There are many benefits to wearing a school uniform which we feel support students with SEN.

  • Having a regular uniform that students know they have to wear each day reduces stress and worry about trying to choose clothes. The uniform is also designed to support students who may have issues with dressing themselves.
  • A shared uniform reduces issues with peer pressure. Where all students wear the same clothes and there are no worries about not having the latest brands or expensive clothing items.
  • Wearing a uniform helps build a sense of pride, unity, and community spirit across the school.

The school uniform comprises any combination of the following:

Standard uniform:

  • Blazer with logo
  • Cotton mix cardigan / cotton mix pullover with logo
  • White fitted blouse (large buttons) / white shirt / polo shirt with logo
  • School tie
  • Tartan kilt / grey trousers / grey shorts
  • Grey tights
  • Black school shoes
  • Waterproof fleece-lined jacket
  • School rucksack with logo

Gym and games kit:

  • Games t-shirt
  • Mid layer
  • Jogging trousers / shorts / skort
  • Black trainers

As a SEN school, we understand that some students struggle with certain textures or materials and the school uniform may not be appropriate for them. This is not a problem and, if this is the case for your child, we ask that the clothes they wear are plain and in the school colours (where possible).

Jeans, short shorts or t-shirts with large prints, for example, are not appropriate for school.
